The new BO wood pellet storage unit, conceived by the Granulebox creative studio and developed by its 3D printing specialist design office BA3D, represents a major advancement in both design and environmental responsibility for furniture manufacturing.

A wood pellet storage unit with minimal waste

Faced with rising raw material costs and our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint, we have developed a new, innovative unit for storing wood pellets. The Bo unit, our latest creation, addresses current environmental challenges. By using recycled materials, we have succeeded in creating a product that not only meets practical needs but also helps reduce industrial waste.

The Granulebox BO, an indoor pellet unit with a reduced carbon footprint

The Bo unit was designed using 3D printing technology. In collaboration with a company specializing in recycling waste from the 3D printing industry, we have created a pellet storage unit entirely manufactured through 3D printing. The lid, meanwhile, is made from recycled Hevea wood, further reinforcing our commitment to using sustainable materials.

The filament used to produce the parts is plant-based, made from corn starch. When parts are deemed non-compliant or leftover filament remains on the spools, we grind this material to create new spools. This waste recovery process allows us to offer a storage unit that is both attractive and practical for wood pellets while minimizing our environmental impact.

A pellet container entirely made from waste materials

The Granulebox Bo is made from recycled materials, including its Hevea wood lid. The pellet container features an elegant design, with angular shapes and a flared silhouette, making it a perfect piece for any interior decor style. The Granulebox Bo has a capacity of 30 kg of wood pellets, approximately 50 liters, which equals two 15 kg bags of pellets. This generous capacity allows you to store enough pellets for several days, reducing the frequency of refills.

Moisture reduction: indoor pellet storage helps keep wood pellets at a stable temperature, reducing moisture levels and improving the calorific efficiency of your pellet stove.
